Family Photos for the Munasinghe Family at Three Hearts Photography

Family photos during winter can be lots of fun. You get to add layers to your outfits and this is great because layers add texture and detail as well as lots of interest. You can add that extra pop to your Family photos on a potentially cloudy day.

The Munasinghe family came along to Banjo Paterson Park in Lynbrook to have their Family Portraits taken with Three Hearts Photography. They wanted to capture their young family as they were growing up and have family photos that were fun and relaxed and outdoors.

Sometimes it takes children a little while to warm up to an unfamiliar person. Part of my job as your Family photographer is to give them the time to see me as someone who will have fun with them and not overstep if they don’t want me in their personal space.

It can take time to build up trust with children and I usually start with the parents first. Children need to see that you trust me and are feeling comfortable with me and then they will feel comfortable too.

By starting with family photos, it allowed us time to build relationships with the whole family and for the children to feel comfortable with me and get to know me a little more. Once the children realised I was someone that Mum and Dad were comfortable with, then they began to trust me too.

Then it was time to get some smiles.

When you are outdoors and you provide time for the kiddos to play games and run around, then you can capture the fun, the laughter and gorgeous family photos that you will love forever.

All it took was a game of twirling for these three to start laughing and really have some fun.

Master M told me that he left his smiles at home and when I asked him if he wanted to borrow some spares I had, he was a little less than impressed, lol. It took one of my favourite jokes to get him to laugh at me, but we got some beautiful smiles in the end.

And then he feels soooo comfortable with you, that he starts photobombing Mum and Dad’s Photo together! This one has to be one of my favourite of the day, lol. It makes me laugh every time I see it!

We had a quick outfit change for a more casual look. I love the added pops of colour. They look fantastic in the outdoor location. What do you think?

At Banjo Paterson Park, there is such a variety of locations and scenery that your Portraits can look so different and capture a collection with variety and adventure that is not just a Family Portrait Session, but an experience you will remember with your family.

Time together, playing, walking, away from screen and tv and work. Family time.
