Rides, relaxing and really big whales!

OUR FAMILY HOLIDAY!

At the end of July, my family and I embarked on our annual family holiday!

This year, we were lucky enough to head to Queensland baby!!!

It was fantastic to walk off the plane and straight into the warmth and sunshine of the Gold Coast. We stayed at Kirra Beach, right on the beach with a gorgeous view of Surfer’s Paradise.

It was a jam packed 2 weeks where we visited all the “Worlds” and had an amazing time.

We visited Seaworld and the kids got to swim with the dolphins. We couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces at the end of it. They even got to feed on of the Dolphins, which was very special.

The funniest thing to happen while we were at Seaworld, was when we sat down for lunch and a seagull flew low across the table in between all of us and collected a chip off our box of chips in the middles of the table. we could not believe it.

We spent some time at Movie World while the boys hit the rides and my daughter got her hair braided with colour braids. We had photos with some Movie World characters and a yummy ice crusher.

In the afternoon, the kids spent time in the pool while the parents sat on the side and read their books.

Next on the agenda was a boat cruise to do some whale watching. And while we were not really successful finding any whales the first time out, we were lucky enough to get a do-over and found many stunning whales. one in particular, circled our boat for about 40 minutes and we snapped lots of photos.

And while the kids loved Wet n Wild, I have to say that my favourite place we visited, was Dream World. It has been over 20 years since I last went to Dream World and it was great to see that it was just as magical as I remembered it.

Especially the tiger show! Such beautiful animals.

It was definitely better than Movie World in my opinion, especially since many of the rides at Movie world were closed when we went there.

YES DAY!!!

Yes, we did it, although we didn’t quite do it just like the movie, there were a few limits and a shorter amount of time. They chose Timezone, mini golf and a bike ride along the beach. They certainly didn’t take as much advantage of Yes day as they could have, but I love that about my kiddos.

We spent a lot of time at the beach and relaxing, but also filled our time with so much adventure.

It was exactly what we all needed to relax, recharge and get ready for the coming busy months ahead.

Thanks for sharing in a little glimpse of our family holiday!
