My child will NOT sit for a photo!

My child will NOT sit for a photo!

Parents come to me all the time and tell me that don’t think their child will sit still for a photo.

It’s a common stress amongst many parents, especially mums, because if you are anything like me, you feel like it is a true reflection on you and your parenting.

But it’s not and I know, deep down we know that.

So how can I assure you that I can capture a gorgeous photo of your child?

Whether you are coming to the studio to have a Dream Art Photo or you are gathering everyone together to update your family photos, I guarantee, you will have beautiful photos of your kiddos.

HOW? HOW? HOW?

I hear you…. but HOW?

I certainly have some tricks up my sleeve and I am going to share some of them with you, and keep some of them up my sleeve for when you come for photos, lol.

1.FUN FUN FUN - It’s all about making sure that the photo session feels like fun instead of a sit and stare at the camera session.

2. FRESH AIR - Family sessions are held outdoors where your kids are free to run around and play and enjoy spending time with you. This is how we capture some really natural and relaxed photos - just by playing.

3. FARTS - I‘m sorry, but farts and burps are just funny to kids and no matter how old they are, it just makes them laugh. Don’t be scared off if you hear me start talking about them in your session.

AND the last one I will share with you, is…..

4. BRIBARY - I am not above a little bribary to get the job done. I always have a bundle of treats in my bag, (kid treats, not dog treats, although I have them too, lol), and I am prepared to use them as needed, either during the session or as a special surprise after the session is done. I often hear parents with their own bribes up their sleeve for the kids when the photos are all done too.

The best thing to remember is that your kids will (generally), always behave better for someone else than they will for you, AND you CANNOT, let this stop you from getting beautiful photos of your family and your kids.

It is so important to capture them now, because we all know that they grow so fast and before we know it, all we have is some silly face, out of focus, photos of them on our phones.

Family sessions will be opening up in September, for a limited time so keep an eye out for this!

Christmas is the perfect time to update and capture your family.

Dream Art Sessions run all year round, so don’t hesitate to capture your kids as they are right now!

Karen was a mum who thought she would never get family photos. Her son has autism and knew that following instructions and sitting still was going to be hard for him.

There was a lot of talk and we took our time as we walked around the park and ensured that he felt comfortable every step of the way.

Here is what Karen had to say after her family session…

Just a little Spesh! - A Dream Art Photoshoot

Miss D arrived at the studio full of confidence and excited for her Dream Art Photo Session.

She saw lots of Dream Art themes that she knew she wanted to be the star of, but she narrowed it down with the help of her Amma to just three.

With a bundle of clothes in her hand and more from the studio wardrobe to choose from, she was well equipped for some dress up fun.

The first outfit Miss D chose was one she brought along from home, but it felt a little scratchy, so we decided to select one from the studio wardrobe. She fell in love with a gorgeous purple gown and we topped it off with a flower crown on her head.

There was so much twirling and swirling as Miss D moved around in her beautiful princess dress.

And of course there were plenty of smiles to match.

After a few different photos, we changed outfits and continued to pose for the camera and capture some amazing photos to create beautiful Dream Art Photos for them to choose from.

Once Dressup time was over, we put on Miss D’s favourite dress that she wore as a bridesmaid and we got some beautiful natural photos of her, laughing and being cheeky and having lots of fun.

And YES, she got to twirl again.

Miss D loved her Dream Art Photo session and was excited to get a little surprise at the end.

Miss D and her Amma loved their Dream Art Photos and can’t wait to get them printed in one of amazing Metal Artwork Prints, saying they thought the Metal prints were “just a little spesh”

A Dream Art Princess Photo Session

Miss M’s Dream Art Photo Session – from start to finish. Join me on a journey of make believe as we capture memories and make magic.

The Dream Art Image Experience

As Miss M arrived at the studio, I could see that she was a little unsure about what was in store for her. I welcomed her and her family and began chatting with Miss M to make her feel more relaxed and comfortable.

I was able to show her a selection of themes and settings that I had put together for her to choose from. These themes reflected the ideas and dreams that Miss M’s mum had relayed to me when we were planning her session.

After chatting to her mum on the phone when booking her session, I knew Miss M loved princesses and I had a pretty good idea of her favourite one. She chose her favourite theme and we moved over to the costumes to help her chose an outfit to wear.

It was such an exciting process as her eyes lit up at the site of all the amazing princess dresses and costumes.

A World of Laughter and Poses

Miss M fell straight into character as she twirled and spun around the studio, mimicking the princess she loved so much. It was easy to get caught up in the excitement.

Each click of the camera captured not just her gorgeous smile, but her personality. Miss M wanted to be a princess and I was going to make that happen for her.

Capturing Natural Beauty

After capturing all our beautiful princess poses and of course some time to do some twirls, it was time for a change of pace. Miss M swapped her princess attire for a more casual outfit, and we transitioned into capturing her gorgeous personality in a more natural way. These Studio portraits are certainly something her family will love and cherish forever.

The Transformation

Once the session was over and Miss M and her family had left the studio, I set to work adding the magic and making her beautiful photos transform into that amazing princess photo that she had been dreaming about. With a little bit of magic, photography and artistry, I created…….Princess Belle

A Treasure for a Lifetime

Miss M and her family loved her Dream Art Images so much that they purchased two more Princess Dream Art Images that I created for them. They were so happy with their photos and I am so glad I could create something magical and memorable for them.

This Dream Art Photo experience by Three Hearts Photography was not just a photoshoot; it was a journey into the world of imagination and creativity. It was a day of laughter, storytelling, and transformation. And most importantly, it was a day that created memories that Miss M and her family will cherish forever.
