6 Things You Never Knew About Me

It’s always a hard decision to choose a photographer for your Family Portraits. There are so many amazing photographers out there and it can sometimes feel soo overwhelming that you just throw your hands up in the air and push it aside for another year.

One of the things I suggest, when looking for a Photographer for your Family, is to get to know them a little better. Check out their website and read their “About Me” page, watch any videos or Facebook Lives, they might have done on their Facebook Business Page and read any Blogs they write and post online. This will help you to see if they are the right fit for you and your family.

So, with all that in mind, here is a little more info about me to see if I am the right photographer for you. Now you might have already taken my advice and read all about me, but here are 6 things you never knew about me…..

#1. I worked for Pixi Foto and Photo Corporation for over 7 years.

My first paid job as a photographer was working for Pixi Foto in their mobile division, where I travelled all over Victoria, Tasmania and parts of New South Wales. I also worked in the Cranbourne Studio and Portrait Place in Ballarat. I also received the Photographer of the Year Award for 2000.

#2. I travelled overseas to the USA two years in a row and worked in a Summer Camp in Fryeburg, Maine. I taught photography and looked after a group of girls, aged 7-10. It was an amazing experience and I loved travelling and exploring the US afterwards as well.

I don't have many photos to show you from then as I was still using film, eeek! But this is one of my creative ones of Times Square. Developed in a dark room by me and paint developed. A technique I used to love to do all the time.

#3. We just rebuilt our fence at home, just thought I would throw that one in, as it’s a current event in our house, lol.

This is us after we pulled it down and we had to start digging back the dirt for them to start building.

#4. I used to play the cornet (like a trumpet) in a band. (Sorry no photos, lol)

#5. I love cats. I don't have one at the moment, but maybe down the track we will get another again. This was Abbey.

#6. I would love to one day write and publish a children’s book, hopefully illustrated with my photography.

A little sneaky peek into more about me and who I am. If I sound like someone you want to work with, then I would love to have a chat about how we can create a Portrait or Lifestyle Session that suits your family.

Just fill out the contact form HERE and I will be in contact with you soon to have a chat.

Thanks for getting to know me!!
